The fractional method modifies existing resurfacing technologies to distribute the ablative, or non-ablative effect over an even fraction of the treatment area. Fractional skin resurfacing devices combine specific pattern generation software and advanced hand-pieces with either Erbium or CO2 technologies in order to produce this effect.
